Lucinda Sperry is a creative consultant, brand strategist, and the founder of DesignGoddess.com, a boutique studio known for bold ideas, visual clarity, and results-driven design.


In 1998, Lucinda launched DesignGoddess to help businesses—especially small and mid-sized ones—access powerful, strategic design without agency bloat. Since then, she’s worked with 100s of businesses to build compelling brand identities, design marketing campaigns, and launch standout digital experiences.

I’m a visionary designer and creative strategist with over 25 years of experience helping businesses communicate clearly, elevate their brand, and grow with confidence.


As the founder of Designgoddess, I’ve built a boutique design agency focused on serving startups, small businesses, and organizations with big ideas but limited in-house support. From brand identity to digital campaigns, I’ve delivered high-impact, low-cost design solutions for hundreds of clients—including the Des Moines Airport, Iowa Events Center, Department of Human Services, and the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce.


I’ve also served in leadership and community development roles with the Warren County Economic Development Corporation (WCEDC) and The Norwalk Area Chamber, where I supported brand growth, communications strategy, and business engagement initiatives.


Earlier in my career, I worked as a marketing counselor for the Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC), guiding startups and early-stage businesses through foundational marketing and branding strategies. That role deepened my passion for helping entrepreneurs move forward with clarity and confidence.


Before launching my own studio, I led editorial and advertising design at Business Publications Corporation, where I developed creative for Cityview, Business Record, Book of Lists, and regional tourism publications including Metro and Intro magazines for the Des Moines area. I also led cover and feature design for high-profile editorial content and corporate publications.


My career began in newspaper design, ad sales, and print production—and has spanned entrepreneurial ventures like Art Love Studio, a mobile paint-class business I built from the ground up. I’ve also served over 20 years on the board of Monona Bancorporation that oversaw the Blencoe State Bank, and bring early-career experience in both banking and retail.
